Amazon Sr Program Manager, ACES MX in Mexico City, Mexico

Description

Amazon Customer Excellence System (ACES) team in Ops MX is seeking an innovative, hands-on, analytical and results-oriented Senior Program Manager to lead top priority initiatives and innovate processes at scale for operations. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with members from various teams, including Operations, Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT), Engineering, Advanced Technology, Fulfillment Experience, Finance, external Vendors, etc. to deploy solutions in alignment to business objectives. The Sr. Program Manager (PM) role will challenge you to push boundaries and lead transformative innovation while having the autonomy to make rapid data-driven decisions and invent on behalf of Fulfillment Center (FC) Operators and Associates.

A successful Program Manager must be able to work independently, have a strong bias for action to pursue program objectives, understand rapidly the key pain points of the processes, and influence internal/external partners at all levels of the organization. This role will particularly suits someone with strong analytical abilities, relationship building skills and superb project management capabilities. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities.

Key job responsibilities

-Lead multiple, complex cross-functional initiatives simultaneously from initiation through delivery. Involves anticipating bottlenecks, providing escalation management and communicating status broadly across all levels.

-Identify, prioritize and execute on new opportunities to further accelerate innovation in MX as well as drive process improvements in terms of Safety, Quality, People experience, and Cost.

-Challenge current status-quo of the existing mechanisms in order to create a continuous improvement environment; influence your team and others to create new procedures and processes.

-Make tradeoffs while balancing the business needs with technical constraints

Be able to excel in stakeholder management in different areas and levels - specially with Operations and Transportation teams; coordinate efforts, making sure that all parties are on track with project(s) requirements, deadlines, and schedules.

-Operate autonomously; drive intakes, budgeting, entitlements, and handle escalations.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

  • Advanced English and Spanish - written and spoken

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • PMP certificate

  • MBA in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
