Ford Motor Company Senior QA Automation Engineer in Mexico City, Mexico

Ford Credit IT is seeking for a Senior Mobile Automation Engineer to assist teams developing best in class consumer facing Android and IOS Mobile Apps in native tech stack. Every step of the testing process presents unique challenges and requires creative problem solving. As a Senior Mobile Automation Test Engineer, you will be responsible for finding innovative solutions, staying updated with the latest trends and tools, and contribute to the success of the Ford Credit Mobile Apps. You will be writing and executing automation testing and run manual testing as needed and provide feedback to the Software Development Ecosystem backlog to help drive continuous improvement. Experience in developing Android or IOS Mobile apps using Native tech stack is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and selecting Automation test cases

  • Designing and documenting Automation test strategy and creating an Automation test plan

  • Configuring Selenium test environment

  • Implementing an Automation Framework

  • Creating, enhancing, debugging, and running test cases

  • Monitoring the defect management process

  • Managing changes and executing regression tests

  • Providing solutions for Object identity and error handling

  • Interacting with product and other teams and updating on issues

  • Create Infrastructure as a code template for new applications and tweak existing templates to keep them up to standards.

Must have skills:

  • Knowledge of Selenium Test Environment (STE) and the ability to configure the environment

  • Ability to create automated script and various integrations for Mobile apps with frameworks leveraging Appium for both iOS and Android.

  • Communication and interaction with customers and engineering to solve their problems.

  • Development of automation plans and approval

  • Ability to understand the end-to-end eco system of the application and find gaps in existing testing suite.

  • Knowledge of various programming languages such as Swift UI, Jetpack Compose, Kotlin

  • Knowledge of Test Rail and Headspin Platform

  • Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and automation tools.

  • Act as a pivotal person in arriving for Quality assurance for the Mobile apps.

  • Strong inclination towards shift left approach.

  • Strong sense of code with ability to review code using SonarQube, Check Marx, rework and deliver Quality code.

  • Experience with developing Mobile Apps in either Android or IOS native tech stack
