Supervise metrology personnel, their activities, training and maintain of coordination so that the product meets the required specifications. Maintain ISO 17025 accreditation. Define/Implement calibration methods and applicable uncertainty calculations.

Duties:

  • Supervise Metrology technicians and assigned personnel to metrology laboratory activities.

  • Organize metrology resources to support the achievement of CSW on-time delivery and turn-around time goals.

  • Oversee metrology technicians’ activities to ensure all inspections are performed in accordance with OEM specifications and Customer requirements.

  • Coordinate and maintain Metrology personnel competence, and the use and recall of inspection gages.

  • Drive the continuous improvement of company calibration methods and procedures.Maintain ISO 17025 accreditation by following Perry Johnson Policies and applicable reference standards.

  • Define/Implement calibration methods and applicable uncertainty calculations for every accredited magnitude.

  • Perform activities to ensure on time replacement of inspection instruments and calibration of equipment by Outside Vendors

List the requirements below that are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully accomplish the essential duties of the job.

  • Programming skills and set up of instrumentation equipment abilities.

  • Knowledgeable about ISO 17025 and applicable inspection instruments reference standards.

  • Experience in Blueprint Reading and GD&T according to ASME Y14.5 

  • Knowledge: Human relationships at work, trouble solutions, drawings interpretation.

  • Experience in CMM programming.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Metrology Technicians.

List preferred job related qualifications if different from above.

 

  • Computer knowledge (Office: Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)

  • Valid US Visa and willingness to travel if required.

  • Idioma:/Language: Inglés técnico básico, (deseable). / Basic technical english, (desirable).

List the level of education and/or experience needed to successfully accomplish the essential duties of this job.

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Instrumentation and control or similar.

  • Five (5) years’ experience and/or combination of experience in calibration and Quality areas.
