IMPORT & EXPORT SPECIALIST

OVERVIEW:

The primary responsibility of this position is to generate the northbound, southbound and virtual invoices in the Ixport Annex 24 system making sure that the information declared on the northbound and southbound invoices matches with the loaded material, coordinate with US/MX brokers, shipping and receiving, closely monitor the duty impact on all southbound material and solicit Rule 8, or T-MEC certificate to avoid paying duties, authorize pedimentos generated by the MX Broker and coordinate payment with accounting.Their main duty is to ensure that the shipment adheres to customs regulations. They may also track shipments and work with clients on reducing duties owed.

KEY Responsibilities:

  • Northbound, Southbound and Virtual operation

  • Rule 8 monitor and solicitation

  • Fixed assets pediment control

  • US/MX Brokers coordination

  • Perform all record keeping processes and maintain records of all entry

  • Perform audit on all import and export files on regular basis.

  • Review and authorize pedimentos

  • Keep Ixport Annex 24 in sync with DataStage

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certifications

  • DEGREE IN FOREIGN TRADE AND CUSTOMS OR INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS

Experience

  • 2 plus years in a similar position

  • Desired experience in some annex system 24 Ixport, ZOE; Intrade; Millenium

  • Import/Export knowledgeable

  • Knowledge in customs operations

  • Knowledge with virtual operation

  • Review and close Pedimentos

  • T-MEC Certificates.

  • Rule 8
