**[Summary of Job Function [The Material Handler/Forklift Operator will perform duties such as operate material handling equipment, perform receiving and shipping inspections, and load or unload materials via hand or forklift. As well as perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely moving product using powered industrial equipment by performing the following duties:

  • Operation of powered industrial equipment while following OSHA safety guidelines
  • Verify all product/full goods/raw materials incoming and outgoing
  • Stacking loads properly
  • Perform general housekeeping duties
  • Perform daily forklift inspections
  • Move levers or controls that operate lifting devices to load, unload, transport, or stack material.
  • Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a vehicle is working properly.
  • Is responsible for using safety devices provided by the company (airlocks, seatbelts, etc).
  • Perform routine maintenance on vehicles or auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning and recharging batteries safely and by procedures.
  • Performs other duties and assignments as required.
