About the Role
As our Financial Controller you will be part of the plant's leadership team, which is responsible to build up a plant in the Contract Manufacturing Business for a well-known customer. In this role you will be supporting the plant manager in any commercial-related topic. You will implement all Magna-related finance processes by aligning all required systems and processes in accordance with our Magna reporting requirements and guidelines.
Your Responsibilities
Manage Accounting, Treasury and CAPEX processes
Financial Reporting: prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports according to relevant accounting standards (e.g. US GAAP, SOX, etc ...) as well as Magna's accounting and control processes
Budgeting and forecasting including the upload of BP values into SAP, re-budgeting (if required) and budget-to-actual analysis
Financial analysis: prepare and provide financial reports to support decision-making and assess financial performance (KPI analysis, project expense analysis, cost tracking, etc ...)
Establish systems, forms and procedures for general accouting activities based on the relevant accounting standards
Support tax, ISO/TS and audit initiatives
Coordinate, evaluate and advise accounts payable associate's and general ledger accountant's tasks
Interface to payroll administration, payroll data exchange and submission approval
Develop policies as needed (e.g. expense reimbursement policies, etc ...)
Prepare annual statements/reporting and complete Magna tax package (e.g. CMF report, annual sales tax and annual property tax returns, etc ...)
Compile and submit governmental surveys and reports
Who we are looking for
Finance expert with a minimum of 5 years related operational experience within Accounting and Controlling (Accounting experience is a must, Controlling experience beneficial)
Experience in SAP
Inventory control, cost estimating and control background necessary
Knowledge of SOX mandates, financial reporting requirements as well as knowledge of federal and state tax laws
Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and analytical skills
Profound knowledge of Microsoft Office Software to be able to track and analyze spreadsheets
Your preferred qualifications
BS degree in Accounting is preferred
Ability to multi-task while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
