General Summary: Supports the Quality policies with system definitions and procedures.

  • Leads root cause problem solving (8D, 5-why, fishbone, etc)

  • Interfaces with the business team and Document Control to manage consistent change control for complete manufacturing documentation packages

  • Data analysis of product quality:

  • ANOVA (Analysis of Variation)

  • DOE (Design of Experiments)

  • Trend Analysis

  • Ability to analyze problems, make recommendations, & prioritize and manage tasks

  • Creates and revises system documentation and leads meetings with affected plant personnel to implement system changes

  • Develops and maintains Quality control plans

  • Communicates/documents discrepancies and follow-up and verifies corrective actions

  • Develops quality control and quality management systems

  • Performs release of product

  • Compiles PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) packages per elements assigned

  • APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning)

Abilities:

  • Requires good computer systems skills, incl. word processing and spreadsheet software.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • CQE (Certified Quality Engineer), CQA (Certified Quality Auditor) certifications preferred

Experience:

  • Requires minimum of 0 – 2 years of related experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have hand dexterity at moderate speed with accuracy for half of each day. Requires steady, active effort and continuous walking. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Must be able to work in all areas of the plant.
