Sheetmetal Technician Senior Position in Mesa, AZ

About the Opportunity:

We are currently seeking an experienced Sheetmetal Technician Senior to join our team in Mesa, AZ. This position is ideal for individuals with a solid background in sheetmetal fabrication and a passion for the aerospace industry.   • Schedule: 1st Shift

  • Pay Rate: $32.19 per hour

  • Shifts Available: 1st, 2nd, 4th

Role Overview:

As a Sheetmetal Technician Senior, you will work under minimal supervision to safely lay out, fabricate, and install parts, equipment, and fabricated items on aircraft following established operating procedures. You will ensure that all work performed meets company design specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations.

Essential Functions:

  1. Use complicated schematics/blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical instructions to safely perform sheetmetal layout, fabrication, and installation of parts, equipment, or fabricated items on aircraft.

  2. Mentor and train Sheetmetal Technicians, ensuring their work complies with quality control standards.

  3. Oversee projects or other technicians and assess requirements of assigned tasks to procure required materials and documentation.

  4. Safely operate shop equipment such as brakes, presses, riveting equipment, shears, and hand tools associated with sheetmetal functions.

Other Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of sheetmetal or fabrication processes.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.

  • Valid driver's license required to operate towing and other transportation equipment.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to adapt to sudden schedule changes and work in small restricted areas.

  • Must have a good working knowledge of computers and experience working with Microsoft Office suite.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Four (4) years of sheetmetal and/or fabrication experience.

  • Experience in the aerospace industry preferred.

Pay Details: $32.19 per hour
