Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant with a background in the construction/paint industry. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices specific to this industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including invoicing, billing, and collections.
  • Work with PEO on weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Handle unemployment claims and related paperwork.
  • Manage workers compensation processes, including claims management and reporting.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
  • Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulations related to accounting and finance in the construction and paint industry.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably in the construction and paint industry.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience with job costing and project accounting.
