Growing sign company is looking to hire a painter to join our team. Wiling to train the right person. Spray-painting various substrates, such as aluminum, steel, acrylic. Experience painting high quality polyurethane finishes such as Matthews Paint System and/or Akzo Noble a plus.

Job Duties: • Reviews Production Orders to ensure familiarization with requirements of the job. • Assembles letters or other products to be sprayed and pai

nt supplies required for the order.

• Mixes appropriate quantity of paint for the order, ensuring that the paint is properly mixed as indicated by local conditions and matching paint chips or samples if required.

• May mask parts as required prior to applying paint or texturing. Removes masking materials after completion of drying cycle.

• Sprays products as required, ensuring that paint is applied in a manner consistent with customer requirements and company quality standards.

• Mixes and sprays hardening agents on products as required on the order.

• Places painted parts in a drying area.

• Returns painted parts to the next work station in the production process after determining that parts are adequately dried.

• Maintains an adequate inventory of paint products, and notifies the designated Supervisor of the need to reorder additional materials.

• Ensures that all department equipment is maintained in an adequate manner.

• Maintains awareness of the means by which process improvements can be achieved, and makes related recommendations to the department Supervisor.

• Completes records of department production including waste materials and units produced.

• Constantly works toward producing products that are acceptable by company standards of quality.

• Maintains the department in a neat and orderly manner at all times, cleaning air filters and exhaust system as required.
