Position Overview:
As a Road Freight Driver with Robinson Trucking LLC, you'll play a crucial role in our transportation team. Your primary responsibility will be the safe and timely delivery of goods to designated locations. We prioritize our drivers' well-being and maintain a supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safe Operation:
- Drive a Class A commercial motor vehicle, ensuring the safe transport of goods to and from specified locations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer, promptly reporting any issues.
- Loading and Unloading:
- Efficiently load and unload cargo, following company and industry safety guidelines.
- Route Adherence:
- Follow established routes and schedules to ensure punctual deliveries.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, hours of service, and vehicle inspections.
- Effective Communication:
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and fellow team members.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations governing freight transportation, including weight limits, hours of service, and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a minimum of three years of driving experience.
- Proven experience as a Class A CDL driver.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance and inspections.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
