Onin Staffing Industrial Machine Maintenance in Meridian, Mississippi
Key Responsibilities/ Job Description: *Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on plant equipment, building structure, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and avoid breakdowns *Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and carpentry issues and perform necessary repairs on machinery, equipment, and buildings. * Assist in the installation of new machinery, including electrical wiring, piping, and other necessary components.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues with machinery and equipment, determining the most effective solutions to maintain operational efficiency.
*Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies. Promote a safe working environment by following proper safety protocols.
*Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner to minimize downtime and ensure production continuity.
Work Experience
- Required minimum of 4 years of experience in plant maintenance or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Able to safely operate a forklift.
- Experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, work orders and automated systems
- Knowledge of motors and motor control methods
- Reliable and punctual with an attention to detail.
Working computer knowledge, specifically with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint)
Physical Demands:
- The ability to routinely lift and move up to 60 pounds is required.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical labor for extended periods
- Ability to work in various environments, including exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures
