Description

Scentsy is looking for aVisual UI Designerto develop, design, and coordinate creative digital artwork for visual communications such as e-commerce websites, landing pages, emails, social media platforms, and blog posts.

What You'll Do:

  • Designs, develops, and creates on-brand, user-centered designs for websites

  • Works collaboratively with web team to improve the usability, usefulness, and desirability of websites

  • Makes recommendations to integrate design into development rules and system architecture

  • Creates mood boards and seasonal concept presentations

  • Collaborates cross-functionally to develop creative concepts

  • Manages timelines and creative resources

  • Collaborates with Project Managers to determine timelines for design deliverables

  • Participates in brainstorming and conceptual design discussions with project stakeholders.

  • Works on small design projects or pieces of larger design projects

  • Conducts market research to stay current with industry trends

  • Assists with improving the end-user experience

  • Assists with communicating and documenting user-interactions and design ideas

  • Perform all other assigned tasks and requirements as needed

We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Graphic Design, other related field, or equivalent work experience

  • 1 year of related experience preferred

  • Online portfolio displaying user-centered and e-commerce design required

  • Basic skills in web production and front-end development using programming and minor understanding of scripting languages

  • Basic familiarity with platform/browser compatibility and basic usability issues

  • Visual graphic design and interactive design skills with an understanding of web design principles

  • Knowledge of current web-design trends and techniques, a strong online portfolio displaying user-centered and e-commerce design.

  • Understanding of changes in appearance of websites in different platforms (mobile, desktop, etc.)

  • Knowledge of business and user requirements, as well as technical considerations, to identify key factors to be considered for web projects

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, HTML (emails, landing pages, etc.), Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) and web wireframing environments such as Figma

  • Experience implementing social media elements and campaigns

  • Familiarization with Content Management Systems and content update schedules
