Description Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a Director of Finance. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills as part of the management team. Are you are an experienced VP/Director of Finance looking for a challenging role at an established company? Then this may be the role for you.

What you get to do every day

  • Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget

  • Perform financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions

  • Oversee insurance and risk management

  • Manage daily operations of the finance and accounting department

  • Develop and monitor an organizational structure in order to accomplish department goals and objectives

  • Prepare financial outlooks and forecasts

  • Work with department managers to develop five-year business plans

  • Propose benchmarks for analyzing financial and operating performance

  • Manage the preparation of all financial reports

  • Comply with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements

  • Maintains and reviews budgeting and forecasting models

  • Direct, review, and prepare budget management and financial planning functions

  • Establish short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures

  • Manage the hiring, training, and retention of finance staff Requirements - MBA or CPA is preferred

  • 10+ years of finance and accounting experience

  • Expert Microsoft Excel skills required

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting

  • Extremely detailed and analytical

  • Efficiency in a variety of accounting and financial reporting systems

  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
