Position Summary The Planning Manager will lead/manage and ensure proper execution of the Sales & Operations Planning process for Purchased Finished goods and Dropship items. You will be responsible for overall forecasting customer demand, inventory management, and determining time phased production/purchasing requirements. You will also be responsible for managing the supply side, which includes leading vendor/supply meetings and managing Buyer /Planner team. This includes developing the correct toolset and collaborating cross functionally to ensure the successful execution. Also, you willhave responsibility for data validation, analysis, deck building and presentations for the executive committee. This position will work across the organization with sales, suppliers, finance, and product teams to develop accurate planning and forecastingfor all new launches. Duties Lead monthly S&OP process for Purchased finished goods and Dropship products including demand management, and supply/fulfillment activities. Ensure standard utilization of available tools and processes for optimum performance and establish a methodology for continuous improvement of S&OP and related business processes. Take ownership of key supply-demand/service-cost issues to ensure timely resolution, work directly on the resolution of Customer service issues. Work with direct staff and suppliers counterparts to ensure on-time deliveries to Customers while minimizing inventory investments and increasing inventory turns. Develop and implement an overall Materials plan to optimize inventory and fulfillment. Manage all items,components sourced or stocked . Including adjusting safety stock levels, managing forecast error, scrapping obsolete items to meet Customer demand. Create and utilize system reporting to assist with problem resolution. Conduct and/or facilitate data analysis to identify issues, gaps, trends, etc. Recommend and implement solution. Create/Manage various data analytics reporting responsibilities to support cross functional teams. Develops and / or supports the development of all related Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Updates SOP's as required. Provide strategic and tactical direction to staff. Lead, coach, train and develop team members for optimum performance. Duties - cont'd Summarize and monitor key performance measures applicable to S&OP execution. Develop action plans as necessary. Recommends solution, designs, and implements system processes to improve productivity, increase efficiencies and reduce costs. Drive phase in and phase out processes with key stakeholders as it relates to forecasting, driving inventory, obsoleting items, etc. Work cross functionally with Suppliers, Operations, Sales, and Product Development to communicate product forecasts.
