Burgess & Niple, Inc. Bridge Engineer, Entry Level in Mentor, Ohio

Begin your career working with some of the top civil engineering experts in the industry. Burgess & Niple is looking for an entry level *Bridge Engineer *to join our team in Mentor.

B&N Bridge Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Be a part of a team of Professional Engineers, Engineers-In-Training, and Technicians designing, rehabilitating, analyzing, and inspecting bridges of all sizes
  • Project tasks could include plan and report preparation; design of bridges, culverts, retaining walls and noise barriers, utility coordination, and computations
  • Participate in field work and inspection assistance
  • Perform design calculations and load rating of existing bridges

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited program in Civil Engineering
  • 0-2 years of bridge engineering experience
  • Engineer Intern registration or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with clients in either the public or private sector
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation preferred
  • A valid driver's license with acceptable driving history is a must
