WORKFORCE RESOURCE INC Career Planner - Transitional Jobs in MENOMONIE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Career Planner is responsible for the recruitment and retention of participants into the Transitional Jobs program. The Career Planner will provide individualized case management and supportive services; development and implementation of individualized employment and training plans; establishment of SMART goals; coordination with partner agencies of needed services such as education, training, formal assessments, etc.; development of participant work sites, and on-going follow-up and support. The Career Planner is the primary case manager, has the ultimate responsibility for the case, and is responsible to meet individual performance goals. Key Roles: I. Recruitment and pre-screening of potential applicants II. Provide orientation on available services, career information, and job-seeking skills III. Provide/coordinate career assessment to assist participants in determining interests, aptitudes, abilities, limitations and training needs, and/or refers to additional assessment as needed. IV. Assists individuals in developing employment/training plans and service strategies to address assessed needs V. Assists participants in the implementation of individualized training/employment plans. VI. Provides participant follow-up to assess progress and assist in job retention. VII. Provides employer/agency outreach as representative of the Job Center and Workforce Resource. VIII. Participates as a member of Job Center, Workforce Development Area and Workforce Resource teams to continuously improve the quality of Workforce Development services in the region ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent credentials and experience. Experience supporting a team that is working towards specific goals. Ability to relate effectively with people with a high level of integrity. Ability to identify problems and independently collect, logically organize and analyze information and/or data in order to make appropriate decisions or recommendations. Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point. Ability to compose detailed correspondence and routine reports in a clear, concise, logical, and effective manner while utilizing proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, and tone.
