JOB REQUIREMENTS: POSITION SUMMARY: Production Scheduler CNC Machining will develop and maintain the scheduling system for the machining area. This position will improve process flow by working cross-functionally with the machining manufacturing engineer, mechanical design engineers, manufacturing management and materials management to streamline part delivery in an effective and efficient manner. Utilizing lean principles and the capabilities of the ERP system, create and continuously evaluate and modify the production schedule to meet build requirements. The Production Scheduler will solve scheduling issues to minimize delays in production and look for opportunities to improve throughput and capacity. Essential Functions Develop and maintain the scheduling system for the machining area. Improve process flow by working cross-functionally with the machining manufacturing engineer, mechanical design engineers, manufacturing management and materials management to streamline part delivery in an effective and efficient manner. Creates and continuously evaluates and modifies production schedule to meet build requirements, effectively sequencing jobs, processes and assignments to maximize yield and minimize turnaround times. Promptly addresses and resolves scheduling issues to minimize delays in production. Provides clear communication to all relevant parties on changes to schedule that may impact build schedule. Analyzes, plans and monitors production by reviewing work center and labor capacity reports. Works with Service Manager to plan PM service into schedule. Participates in capital equipment justifications when bottlenecks pose a concern. Position Requirements Associate\'s degree in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or similar area of study plus 5 years of production planning experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent work ethic and the ability to self-direct and prioritize work. Organized thought process with a very high attention to detail. Mechanical aptitude, curiosity, decisiveness and a continuous improvement mindset.
