EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR M&M Area Community Foundation

The Executive Director is responsible for the overall implementation and execution of the MMACF vision and mission including, but not limited to, the growth of the Foundation's endowed funding base. The Executive Director is also responsible for preserving and advancing the mission, vision and values of the Foundation by working with the Board to develop and implement a viable long range plan, and by professionally representing the Foundation and the Board to both internal and external constituencies.

Primary Job Function:

  • Report to the Board of Directors and work closely with the Foundation Officers and Executive Committee to develop and implement all organizational strategic plans to grow the endowment
  • Oversee and manage all fundraising, grant writing and major donor/corporate relations
  • Manage and personally facilitate events, marketing and public relations functions
  • Represent the Foundation at Community events and through community presentations
  • Collaborate with Board of Directors on programs and short and long-term strategic matters
  • Governance and structural management of Bylaws, statistical reporting, grant stipulations and all non-profit legal requirements for State of Michigan.
  • Prepare detailed annual operational budget to ensure organizational financial integrity
  • Manage support staff and oversee volunteers and volunteer activities
  • Manage and administer contracts and agreements as directed
  • Maintain, develop, grow and expand the Foundation's endowed funding base, donor relations base, community funding sponsorships and operational funding base
  • Insure compliance with National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations
  • Attend to any other matters as directed by the Board, Executive Committee and/or Officers of the Foundation
