Resolute Forest Products Crew Leader-Rotating Shift in Menominee, Michigan

We are currently looking for a Crew Leader for our Menominee facility. This position is on a rotating shift. Shifts are twelve (12) hours and allow for work/life balance with seven (7) days off in a row each month, with fourteen (14) working days per month. The Crew Leader is a working hourly lead position.

 

Key Responsibilities:

· Responsible for the safe and accurate unloading, warehousing and feeding of raw materials.

· Accountable for the proper identification of wastepaper grades

· Know how to operate and maintain all related equipment.

· Know, understand, and operate under all company safety rules and policies.

· Ensure that safety policies are followed and that all daily floor operations are carried out safely.

· Audit Safety Processes.

· Maintain housekeeping in designated areas.

· Ensure and maintain the quality of inbound furnish acceptance and shipment of outbound finish product.

· Ensure the proper feeding of furnish recipes to the mill, in a way that production and quality goals are met.

· Work with Crew Leaders to identify inefficiencies and apply solutions.

· General warehouse duties to include loading and unloading of trucks/railcars.

· Identify cost saving opportunities to the Materials Manager.

· Report any damaged or unsafe equipment/conditions.

· Report all accidents and incidents immediately, no matter how minor.

· May perform Traffic Clerk duties in the absence of Traffic Clerk on weekends.

· Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma, be able to work twelve (12) hour shifts that consist of nights and weekends and pass a pre-employment drug test and medical clearance. Outstanding attendance is critical to this position.
