Job Summary

The Network Operation Center (NOC) Analyst is an integral part of the Monitoring and Maintenance Program. The program reach is part of a national initiative covering legacy, 4G, and 5G networks with a variety of major carrier clients and private customers. The NOC Analyst is responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting the production network with a high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a high volume of tickets on a day-to-day basis.

  • Responsible for working with:

  • Current and future monitoring tools.

  • Multiple telecommunications systems.

  • A variety of clients and facilities while supporting day-to-day operations in support of all business units as needed.

  • Maintain an understanding of Service Level Agreements (SLA).

  • Create and update internal service request tickets, trouble tickets or documentation.

  • Produce quality work as part of a team or independently.

  • Assess impact to network/service, resulting impact to customers, and escalate appropriately.

  • Ensure details and information are provided to the fix agent.

  • Support fix agent efficiency, safe restoration and work practices and compliance with all company specifications.

Position Requirements

Preferred Skills

  • Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office, cloud-based tools, and spreadsheets (Smartsheets a plus).

  • Exceptional problem solving and deduction.

Education & Experience

  • Degree in technology, engineering, or similar preferred. Exception for equivalent combination of education and/or general work experience. Telecom preferred.

  • 2-4 years’ experience with telecommunications equipment, engineering/design and technical know-how related but not limited to: DAS, Small Cell, Cell tower and Rooftop builds preferred.

  • Familiarity with a call center, NOC, or general technology support group/system. Understanding of 24/7/365 NOC support with a flexible schedule to meet client/business needs.

  • 2 years of proven, hands-on, or remote technical experience related to wireless telecommunications preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

This position is a work from home position, with the possibility of some travel to service areas to support contracts and initiatives. The employee will be sitting/standing in front of a computer for most of the day. The NOC Analyst must be able to work from home with a dedicated working space. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly required to communicate with customers and co-workers in a clear and straight forward manner.

  • The employee must be able to carry, move, push, pull, install, and/or remove tools and equipment weighing 20 to 50 pounds (and potentially 50 to 100 pounds).

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision (specifically the ability to differentiate between different sizes and colors of wires), peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.

  • The employee must occasionally be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time and operate a computer and other office equipment.

This is a Full-Time Exempt position. Must be available to work all different shifts, weekends, and holidays.
