Main Ingredients of the Job!
As a US FOODS® Utility Worker , you will be responsible for selecting, packing, and placing products on pallets while adhering to USDA Safety and Sanitation Regulations and customer specifications. Perform various roles, including activities such as product receiving and selection, packaging, sorting, re-boxing, marination, further processing and facility sanitation while adhering to company manufacturing requirements and safety regulations. Your efforts as a Utility Worker are the foundation that defines US FOODS® success based on our pillars of cultural beliefs, work ethic, collaborative spirit, and service.
Schedule: Sunday – Thursday Start time 1:30pm
Pay: – $23.66
Unload trucks utilizing an electric Pallet Jack
Clean and sweep out trailers
Sort good wood and bad wood and bring to designated areas
Prepare trailer for loading by strapping in bulkhead
Bring cases to check in the area and properly label
Be able to work in a cold environment
Unload and reload trailers as needed
Sweep outside and under dock doors daily
Unload and stage the backhaul loads when needed
General organization of the docks
Assist with short running and sub labels
Ability to work as an order selector when necessary
Select and pack orders per customer specification
Scan product as directed to capture required data
Complete other duties assigned by management
What you bring to the table
High School Diploma/GED required
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations.
Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
Must be able to work continually in a refrigerated environment 35°F- 45°F.
Must be able to work for periods of time in a freezer environment -10°F to +10°F with company provided apparel.
Electric Pallet jack experience preferred
Minimum one year production and/or warehouse experience required, preferably in a food environment.
Experience working with computers a plus
