SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager or Scrum Master who is passionate to join, participate and contribute to AutoZone's Commercial team.

The ideal candidate possesses a blend of strategic acumen and a hands-on approach, willing to roll up their sleeves to ensure successful product launches. They thrive in an agile environment, having contributed to exceptional consumer experiences across iOS and Android apps, as well as cloud applications at scale. This candidate is accountable, resourceful, and maintains a positive attitude even when faced with challenges. Their ability to navigate ambiguity and clarify project goals is commendable.

As a natural collaborator, they seamlessly connect engineering (mobile, cloud, and firmware), product, QA, customer support, and marketing. Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of agile facilitation across multiple software development teams located in different geographic regions.

  • Schedule, manage, and facilitate backlog refinement sessions, daily stand-ups, and other team events.

  • Facilitate communication among product development team members to ensure that high-value work takes precedence in the backlog.

  • Foster daily collaboration to remove impediments and mitigate risks.

  • Advocate for Agile values, principles, and practices within the teams.

  • Promote the growth of Agile maturity among product development team members, scaling best practices.

  • Cultivate an environment of trust, collaboration, and experimentation within the team.

  • Create information radiators to enhance visibility and transparency between development teams, stakeholders, and the organization.

  • Collaborate closely with release management to ensure quality feature completion aligned with the application release cadence.

  • Manage development team backlogs, including work prioritization, assignment, and tracking using Jira.

  • Create, manage, and publish team metrics and reporting derived from Jira data.

  • Assist in the administration of Jira to maintain an efficient workflow.

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in management or a relevant field

  • Experience in retail industry will be preferable

  • Agile experience is highly desired

  • 5 to 7 years’ experience in project management or scrum

  • Excellent organizational, communication, management, and leadership skills

  • Experience with budget, scope, and schedule management

  • Excellent problem-solving ability, relevant domain, and analytical skill

  • Demonstrated experience facilitating meetings at multiple levels of an organization and an understanding of facilitation techniques
