Description We are in need of a diligent Staff Accountant to be an integral part of our team in Memphis, Tennessee. This role centers around performing general ledger accounting duties, assisting in month-end close procedures, reconciliations, and journal entries. The position is set in the bustling industry of hospitality, requiring the management of multiple software systems used for various aspects of the business.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in month-end close procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.

• Perform general ledger duties to maintain accurate financial records.

• Execute bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data.

• Utilize multiple software systems to manage various aspects of the business, such as food and beverage, and catering.

• Conduct journal entries for accurate record-keeping and financial reporting.

• Collaborate with the Director of Finance to streamline accounting procedures.

• Utilize skills in hospitality management to understand and cater to industry-specific financial requirements.

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards in the hospitality industry. Requirements • Proficiency in performing month-end close processes

• Demonstrated experience in managing general ledger activities

• Ability to conduct bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently

• Experience in executing credit card reconciliations

• Knowledge in the field of hospitality management is preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• CPA certification is a plus

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a team

• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
