Job Description

Turner & Townsend will be seeking an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager - Industrial Production Line responsible for leading construction of a large battery manufacturing facility.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, able to take the initiative and drive activities with limited supervision. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the construction industry.

Job Details:

  • Interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.

  • Financial management – Ensuring prompt client invoicing and utilizing Financial system to monitor a project’s financial status.

  • Project planning, including producing the detailed project plan.

  • Work with and overseeing the A/E firms on design evolution and drawing reviews.

  • Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications.

  • Work with the general contractors on procurement bid package reviews, recommendations, order submissions, tracking and invoice approval.

  • Preparing formal project budget progress and other reports.

  • Monitor project schedule and work with the general contractor to meet milestones and Job 1 timing.

  • Quality Control – Ensuring compliance with quality standards.

  • Review Safety incidents & corrective action follow-up

  • Work with GC to manage Field authorization request (FAR) process.

  • Identifying opportunities to improve Project Management procedures, templates and products referring ideas to the appropriate line manager.

  • Assist the client with alternative funding source acquisition

  • Identifying and ensuring that the appropriate line manager is aware of quality, safety, health and environment issues.

  • Establishing effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilized throughout project.

  • General line management responsibilities (where appropriate) are effectively discharged.

Qualifications

  • Construction project management experience and the ability to be highly effective in a client facing role.

  • College degree in Construction Management or a related filed, and PMP certification.

  • Membership in relevant professional organizations.

  • Experienced managing demanding stakeholders and work stream managers.

  • Field experience a plus.
