Sharp Electronics Corporation Procurement Manager in Memphis, Tennessee

Overview

Responsible to the Supply Chain Director for the sourcing, negotiation, and procurement of goods and services to support the manufacturing and sales of product. Responsibilities include coordinating the efforts of the buyers to meet company goals, developing and monitoring company cost down plans and monitoring service parts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the activities of the company procurement team.

  • Oversee the review, negotiation, and approval of material pricing.

  • Establish and approve sources of raw material and suppliers.

  • Determine and review current MOQs and Safety Stocks.

  • Evaluate and approve requisitions to be converted to purchase orders.

  • Monitor and coordinate material scheduling and delivery to support production while considering minimal on-hand inventory.

  • Review and coordinate engineering change controls with suppliers.

  • Monitor and report cost down plans by fiscal periods to support both internal and global reporting requirements.

  • Create fiscal period cost down plans for budgeting purposes based on company targets.

  • Support manufacturing, engineering, and quality to ensure quality parts.

  • Conduct and lead supplier audits as required.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, and 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent.

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.

  • SAP knowledge is preferred.

Compensation for this position

The compensation range for this role is $57,252- $107,349. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
