Mechanic Job Description

Qualifications :

  • Some high school or equivalent and/or vocational and/or prior job experience in mechanical welding and hydraulics

  • Welding, mechanical knowledge; ability to read tape measure and blueprints.

  • Ability to lift 20-50lbs., Push 50-100lbs and Carry 25-50lbs

  • Ability to read tape measures, blueprints, and diagrams

    Requirements:

  • Reports to Shop Supervisor.

  • Must have ability to completely mount ,assemble and performance check all products as directed by the Shop Supervisor.

  • Must have the ability to weld and flame –cut , as required.

  • Must have ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and written instructions.

  • Will be responsible for the quality of the installation and repairs of the work he performs.

  • Must have the ability to repair and service products as directed by the Shop Supervisor.

  • May be required to perform road service and repairs.

  • May be required to assist or operate dielectric test equipment.

  • Must be able to properly use diagnostic equipment as required.

  • Must be able to properly test equipment as required.

  • Will furnish own hand tools as directed by the Company.

  • To provide quality and timely workmanship on each work order performed

  • Uses impact wrenches to drill, bolt various components onto mobile hydraulic equipment

  • Uses small and large manual hand tools to bolt assemble various components onto mobile equipment

    · Maintains daily time records on each job assigned

    · Performs re-work as required

    · Follows all established safety policies and practices.
