Summary

This position is responsible for overall organization direction of distribution operations support including leadership and management of staff, strategic planning, project management and capital budgeting. Must be proficient in creative problem solving, process improvement and successfully managing multiple projects. Work cross functionally with multiple departments to accomplish projects and goals.

Responsibilities

Industrial Engineering:

  • Lead and develop a team of 6 Process Improvement Managers (Industrial Engineers), and 12 Process Improvement Advisors

  • Develop and maintain engineered standards for Distribution Centers and ensure accountability practices with a focus on continuous improvement to drive efficiencies

  • Develop and create process improvement projects to include automated solutions

  • Proficiency in PLC controls engineering and Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), Warehouse Execution Systems (WES), and Warehouse Management Systems

  • Collaborate with IS/IT for software solutions supporting process changes and automated integration

    Inventory Control:

  • Lead a team including a Senior Manager and 12 Distribution Center Inventory Control Managers.

  • Execute cycle counting and quality control programs to improve inventory accuracy.

  • Develop and modify action plans for quality control and inventory accuracy.

  • Responsible for distribution center slotting initiatives and racking/shelving projects to drive productivity.

    Maintenance and Construction:

  • Lead a team including Sr. Manager, 2 project managers, and 12 Facility Maintenance Managers.

  • Implement best practices for facility maintenance (e.g., preventative maintenance, lock-out/tag-out, powered industrial equipment).

  • Manage facility maintenance within the annual budget

  • Responsibility for all Distribution construction projects to include new builds, remodels, building maintenance and repair

  • Develop capital expenditure budget to support

    Requirements

  • 15 years of experience in supply chain/distribution required. Working knowledge of distribution operations and construction projects preferred.

  • 30%-45% Travel required
