Baptist Memorial Analyst-Clinical Applications Advisory Senior in Memphis, Tennessee

Summary

Leads analysis, planning, designs, maintains, provides ongoing optimization and support, and participate in strategic design of Baptist OneCare (Epic). Perform workflow assessments, capture business needs and analyze internal business system to determine functional requirements for optimal utilization. Possess in-depth clinical, financial, technical or application knowledge and experience. Oversee system builds, upgrades, and system enhancements as needed. Manage application through all phases of assessment, implementation, optimization, and maintenance. Lead implementation and support across multiple applications. Work with cross-functional team and end users to achieve application integration to meet clinical and/or business needs. Oversee operations of the application team to maximize efficiency and best use of resources. Exercise discretion and judgment in the performance of original, creative, intellectual work. Incumbent is subject to overtime, callback, and on-call as required. Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross functional Baptist OneCare team initiatives and system responsibilities to ensure optimal product for all end users

  • Leads all phases of implementation of Baptist OneCare and associated projects to meet organizational objectives and strategies.

  • Analyzes problems, recommends improvement, develops and implements appropriate action plans utilizing Baptist Management System Tools to promote transformation and ensure successful implementation.

  • Facilitates completion of testing of software applications using established standards and protocols.

  • Provides oversight of ongoing support of Epic and other applications under area of responsibility.

  • Oversee daily team operations and coordinates assignments to meet goals and comply with internal guidelines

  • Completes assigned goals.

Requirements, Preferences and Experience

Education

Preferred: Bachelor's degree.

Minimum: Education from an accredited institution or experience as listed. Education of certificate program or two year college degree; Completion of Epic certification within 90 days of completing training.

Experience

Preferred: Experience in project management and/or system implementations.

Minimum: Recognized as an expert in the field with proven combination of experience that demonstrates advance knowledge of healthcare issues, complex systems issues, software design and integration. Minimum of fifteen years of relevant experience or combination of experience and education.

Special Skills

Minimum: Proficiency in communicating and performing the techniques of information systems assessment and implementation. Strong project management and organization skills. Proficiency in communicating and performing Information System assessments. Ability to communicate and formally present information to project leadership, subject matter experts, project teams, and stakeholders.

Training

Minimum: Appropriate certifications as they apply to specialized area of expertise. Project management training or advanced training in career field.
