Robert Half Treasury Analyst/Assistant Treasurer in Melville, New York
Description We are searching for a meticulous and analytical Treasury Analyst/Assistant Treasurer to be part of our team in MELVILLE, New York. As a Treasury Analyst/Assistant Treasurer, your role will involve managing Special Purpose Entity operations, coordinating fund transfers, providing support to our accounting staff, and working closely with management to enhance operational efficiencies. This role is in the financial services sector.
Responsibilities:
• Overseeing the activities of Special Purpose Entities, which includes commercial paper issuance, FX swaps, interest rate derivatives, investment activities, settlement of interests and fees, and vendor invoice payments.
• Collaborating closely with internal staff and sponsor personnel to devise and implement Special Purpose Entity funding strategies.
• Reconciling asset and liability positions and verifying their accuracy.
• Assisting internal accounting staff with the correct posting of daily general ledger transactions and comprehensive month-end profit/loss and position roll forwards.
• Coordinating fund transfers in line with Special Purpose Entity program waterfalls.
• Generating and distributing performance and analytical reports.
• Working with management to suggest and develop improvements in operational efficiencies and procedures.
Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP S/4HANA.
• Familiarity with various accounting functions.
• Experience in account reconciliation and managing accounts receivable.
• Proficiency in analyzing financial statements.
• Experience in auditing. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required for managing data and performing financial analysis.
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA for business process management and enterprise resource planning.
• Solid understanding of accounting functions and principles to ensure financial integrity and transparency.
• Experience in account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
• Competence in managing Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoicing, collections, and reporting.
• Ability to analyze financial statements to assess financial performance and forecast future financial scenarios.
• Knowledge of auditing procedures to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
