Description:

The Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) at Gottlieb Memorial Hospital is an expert nurse and role model who facilitates expected outcomes, demonstrates leadership and serves as a resource in the management of clinical nursing care to improve patient outcomes within the defined clinical area of practice and functions to provide holistic, patient-centered care using evidence-based practices.

The CNL assists in organizational initiatives as related to ongoing maintenance of specialty designations, regulatory requirements and community collaborative efforts.

For this role, the Clinical Nurse Leader will cover ICU, Cath Lab, Same Day Surgery & Post Anesthesia Care Unit.

The CNL provides department-level oversight for the following:

• Improving clinical outcomes, care coordination

• Maintain professional practice environment for Nursing

• Ongoing education and professional development for clinical nurse

• Manage clinical component of orientation to nursing department

• Nursing care coordination of complex cases

Minimum Education Required:

  • Master's degree in Nursing

Minimum Experience Required:

  • 1-2 years of previous job-related experience

Licensure/Certifications Required:

  • Current Registered Nurse License State of Illinois

  • Certification in area of specialty within one year of hire.
