Job Description:

Senior Segment Manufacturing Operations Leader for L3Harris’ Integrated Mission Systems Segment. Responsible for leading manufacturing and manufacturing engineering with over 3,000 employees in 45 locations – domestic and international. Develop short term plans and long term strategies that drive a one operations organization vision to ensure perfect delivery, quality and safety, while achieving additional operations and financial objectives. Position reports directly to the Segment Vice President of Operations.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Meet segment manufacturing objectives for cost, quality and delivery of material and services

  • Achieve an injury free work place through execution of EHS strategies

  • Create manufacturing strategies to meet segment Annual Operating and Strategic Growth plans

  • Achieve critical manufacturing productivity goals by developing and deploying best lean manufacturing practices.

  • Develop and executive manufacturing technology roadmaps

  • Design for manufacturability – partnering with Engineering in the new product development process

  • Achieve FAR/DFAR compliant processes

  • Develop a world class operations organization through various staffing, training and talent management initiatives

  • Deliver and sustain positive measurable results

Operational Excellence – experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and Quality Improvement tools

  • Cellular standard work and standard WIP

  • One Piece Flow or Pull System manufacturing flow

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • BS Degree (technical degree preferred, i.e. Engineering)

  • MS Degree preferred, MBA a plus

  • Lean expert certified

  • Active Secret Clearance a plus

  • 10 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience

  • Knowledge of manufacturing strategies in production and development environments

  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills

  • Extensive knowledge leading and executing structured lean manufacturing systems

  • Demonstrated experience developing manufacturing technology roadmaps
