Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide direct engineering support to Manufacturing operations and Development Engineering

  • Participate in the design, fabrication and/or evaluation of manufacturing operations

  • Will create and/or modify process plans and assembly instructions, assembly Routes, assembly aids/tools, process flows, conduct or support various studies as required, and provide analysis or testing in the development of manufacturing operations

  • Troubleshoot hardware for failure analysis, generate associated reports, and implement corrective actions

  • Participate in Change Control Board, Material Review Board and Failure Review Board activities as a key stakeholder

  • Responsibilities are moderate in scope where analysis of situations or data involves a variety of common factors

  • Only general guidance is needed on routine work; instructions on new assignments as needed

  • Review detail designs for manufacturability and producibility, utilizing common tools e MOST, PFMEA's etc)

  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization

Job Responsibilities Part II

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable engineering field with 2-5 years applicable engineering experience or equivalent combination of education/training and experience

  • Experience with SolidWorks and/or Creo

  • Basic understanding of GD&T and Drawings standards

  • Specialties may include manufacturing, production, industrial, tooling, testing, processing, and robotics

  • Must be willing to work both independently and within a diverse team environment

  • Experience with Mil Spec hardware, Electronics and/or Electro-Optical equipment assembly and testing is desired

  • Lean/Six Sigma training is strongly desired
