Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $14 / hour

What you'll be doing as a Machine Shop Helper:

  • Safely operate and maintain various machines. Some of the machines the machine shop position may work with, Drill Press, Saw Machine,CNC Punch Machine, CNC Vertical Machine, CNC Press Brake

  • Review samples, drawings and/or instructions to ensure accurate production

  • Monitor machines while working to make necessary adjustments and identify issues

  • Maintain a safe and clean workstation

  • Run the metalwork cleaning process that prepares metalwork to be painted.

  • May need to assist in off-loading aluminum extrusions, etc. from delivery trucks

  • May be trained to paint metalwork. Painters will need to pass a respiratory physical and respirator fit test

Shift Timings: 1st Shift (Day)

Job requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail, safety and accuracy

  • Experience working with machines, tools or mechanical assemblies

  • Excellent coordination and mechanical skills

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient in math

  • Basic computer skills

  • Working knowledge of safety protocols

  • Ability to life up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks

  • Background check required
