The Leonardo DRS Land Electronics business provides C4I Network computing and integrated situational awareness, as well as state-of-the-art embedded diagnostics, vehicle power management and combat vehicle integration products and services.

Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist senior-level staff with various analyses for the specific area of expertise

  • Maintain files, logs, records of invoices, purchase orders and other related documentation

  • Maintain information on computer systems

  • Assist in expediting orders

  • Assist buyers in contacting vendors to obtain prices and schedule delivery dates

  • Develop and maintain resources for assigned commodity item

  • Prepare standard requests for quotation

  • Monitor target costs against proposal costs

  • May help to ensure the appropriate contract flow-downs are identified and passed on to Purchasing

  • May interact with Program Management on Program Cost issues and required details

  • Help identify requisitions to consolidate in order to obtain leverage pricing.

  • Assist with the review of open requisitions weekly Review placement to requisition need date and length of time in purchasing

  • Assist with communication between buyers, suppliers, Program teams

  • May monitor weekly Program meetings for any “potential” issues that can be addressed early on

  • Improve understanding of purchasing relationship to the overall company plans and strategy

  • Review and validate any bids during customer negotiations and customer program reviews. Supply copies of POs/LOCs. Prepare charts for customer presentations

  • Develop supply chain dashboard for performance of supply chain across 8 business units

  • Create reporting to highlight performance by program across all business units involving lead-time, on-time delivery, design to cost targets, requisition dates, material requirement dates

  • Maintain PPV reporting covering all business unit activity

  • Support business units in creating proposals

  • Advise business units on trends and risks associated with mechanical or electrical commodities

  • Support, communicate and defend the mission, values and culture of the company

  • Utilize Power Pivot, Power Query and Power BI to transform DataMart raw data into manageable information

Job Responsibilities Part II

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering or equivalent experience

  • 0-2 years of experience in high technology, aerospace or defense or equivalent experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain management tools and procedures

  • Experience with earned value cost accounting and reporting; experience with metrics for assessing and reporting program and/or commodity progress, productivity and variance analysis, highly desirable

  • Experience in finance, contracting, export regulations, engineering, logistics, manufacturing and DoD, ITAR, EAR, FAR, DFAR regulations, highly desirable

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
