Health First Certified Nurse Midwife APRN in Melbourne, Florida
Health First seeks a full-time*APRN Certified Nurse Midwife *to provide comprehensive prenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum care in inpatient and outpatient settings.
Primary responsibilities under the direction of the supervising physician may include but are not limited to the following:
• Practice midwifery within the scope of license, training, and credentialing.
• Collaborate with and act as a liaison among the nurse, patient, family, physician, and community resources for coordination of patient care.
• Perform postpartum rounds, manage laboring patients, attend vaginal deliveries, and assist with cesarean sections.
• Perform physical exams, collect and document data, conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, order and schedule laboratory studies and consultations, and prescribe appropriate interventions and medications.
• Assist in obstetrical and/or gynecologic surgery and perform in-office procedures.
• Share on-call responsibilities with other providers and is a flexible team player, helping other providers and staff as needed.
Education/Training
• Master’s degree in Nursing, Certified Nurse Midwife
Licensure/Certification
• Certified as a Certified Nurse-Midwife by the American College of Nurse-Midwives or the American Counsel of Nurse-Midwives
• Current active licensure in the State of Florida as an APRN
• Current AHA BLS certification
