Polaris Industries Aftermarket Parts Installation Technician in MELBOURNE, Florida

We are looking for gearheads to join our 4 Wheel Parts retail store service team !

Job Summary:

As an Aftermarket Parts Installation Technician, you will play a pivotal role in our dynamic team, specializing in the detailed installation and maintenance of aftermarket automotive components.

Responsibilities:

  • I nstall s and work s on suspensions, alignments, gears, mounting, and balancing wheels and tires following company and manufacturers’ specifications and standards

  • Installs accessories (bumpers, lights, winches, and more)

  • Perform s alignment s on Hunter Hawkeye machine

  • Performs inspections of completed repairs and installations to ensure quality of repair and suitability of vehicle for return to service and maintains accurate records

  • C ommunicates professionally and clearly with both internal and external parties

  • Navigates computer systems for alignment machines, wheel balancers, and TPS tools (preferred) and to record work order information and access to other information

  • Demonstrates continuous effort to im p rove operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes , and development of professional skill set

  • Understands and a dheres to all company policies, procedures, safety, and environmental rules

  • Uses appropriate PPE , including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and additional protection as necessary

  • Maintains shop cleanliness and appearance to uphold a safe and secure work environment

  • Work with your team to provide excellent customer service

    We have multiple levels of technician roles available, depending on your experience .

    Qualifications for E ntry L evel :

  • Demonstrated skills in mount and balance, bed covers, and general installation of Jeep and Truck accessories

  • Must possess your own set of tools

  • Always maintain a valid automobile driver's license and be able to drive customer and company vehicles - subject to a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs . , and team lift up to 100 lbs.

  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and work orders

  • Must be able to work scheduled store hours at specific location   

    Qualifications for Intermediate Level:

    Meets all qualifications above and e xhibits proficiency in truck and Jeep minor suspension kits, brakes, general suspension repair, and intermediate installation of accessories

    Qualifications for Advanced Level:

    Meets all qualifications above and d isplays expertise in IFS, straight axle suspension, alignments, and advanced installation of Jeep and Truck accessories, including wiring lighting accessories, winches, and power steps

    Qualifications for Senior Level:

    Meets all qualifications above and d emonstrates exceptional skills in suspension types, electrical work, alignments, and welding . Proficient in replacing ball joints, steering racks, pitman and idler arms, tie-rod ends. Knowledgeable in ring and pinions, axle builds, and drive trains

    Qualifications for Master Level:

    Meets all qualifications above and e xhibits high proficiency across all skill classifications as outline d above

    Certifications:

  • ASE Certifications (recommended)

    Work Environment :

  • Retail store service department

  • Automotive g arage with concrete floors, industrial structure, vehicle lifts, workbenches/ workstations, stationary and moving vehicles and other automotive workshop facility machinery

  • Work includes movement around vehicles, working in various physical positions including balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and lifting , and the safe operation of power tools and test equipment. May be exposed to loud noise, vibration, exhaust fumes, and other service and repair condition s

    Pay offered based on multiple individualized factors including retail location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges based on a 40 -hour work week. The total compensation package also includes a commission plan .
