Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Test Analyst will collaborate closely with the Test Lead to identify software and hardware defects, assess system capabilities against defined requirements, and collaborate with relevant departments to address issues.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze system designs and contractual requirements to determine suitable test criteria.

  • Develop comprehensive test plans and scenarios to validate system and device functionalities.

  • Assist the test team during testing activities, providing necessary support.

  • Actively participate in test team meetings, reviews, and planning sessions.

  • Document and report discovered bugs and defects to relevant departments, collaborating on resolutions.

  • Maintain meticulous records of the system testing process, ensuring proper documentation to validate testing procedures.

  • Provide regular updates to managers on project progress, issues, and any encountered challenges.

  • Potentially facilitate customer or user witnessed testing processes with professionalism and proficiency.

  • Prepare and deliver both interim and final test reports for project managers.

Essential Role Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience, with a minimum of three years in the field.

  • Proficiency in creating and executing test cases and plans.

  • Familiarity with test case and defect management tools like Azure DevOps.

  • Demonstrated effectiveness in minimizing defects in software releases.

  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to perform under pressure.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to communicate effectively across all levels.

  • Interpersonal skills, willingness to share knowledge, and collaborate with others and departments.

  • Detail-oriented and diligent with a focus on accuracy.

  • Problem-solving skills and ability to find effective resolutions.

  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.

  • Customer liaison experience, including witnessed testing.

  • Ability to work fully on-site from the office, especially during test execution, as testing requires the use of various devices and there are restrictions on the movement of these devices.

  • Flexibility to work outside regular hours for collaboration with global teams.

  • Willingness to travel overseas.

Desirable:

  • Experience in Transportation or related industry testing.

  • Understanding of payment card technology.

  • Prior experience in V-Model projects.

  • Past involvement in system test & integration and hardware development projects.

  • Test automation experience with tools like Selenium WebDriver, SpecFlow, FitNesse, JMeter, UL Brand Test Tool, etc.
