Xylem Business Development Manager - Digital in Melbourne, Australia

Xylem, a leading water technology company committed to "solving water" through innovative and smart technology solutions for global water, wastewater, and energy needs, and is seeking an enthusiastic, vibrant and motivated individual to join our Metrology and Digital team as a Business Development Manager. This position offers a unique opportunity to create meaningful, lasting relationships and connections, contributing to positive transformations in our customers' businesses and the water industry.

This full time exciting and rewarding role can be based in Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne and involves growing new business opportunities while developing and expanding existing accounts across Australia. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining knowledge of the day-to-day market across the region, identifying growth opportunities, lead generation, collaborating with the internal Xylem team to achieve sales targets and increase market share by showcasing Xylem’s digital product offering.

  • Creating and implementing comprehensive, compelling go-to-market strategies and execution of plans, contributing to sales & marketing plans, segment budgets, industry training, and competitive strategies supporting the selling process.

  • Linking products and services to specific customer needs, articulating compelling value propositions differentiated from competitors.

To be successful in this role, you should bring sales, digital expertise and a commitment to understanding your client needs. You should be an influencer, negotiator and effective communicator across all levels within the business and with customers. A growth mindset, commitment to targets and the ability to coach and share knowledge are essential. Travel is required and a passion for increasing Xylem’s presence in the market is crucial.
