Title: **Medical Biller / Billing Specialist

Starting Pay: $17.00+**

Shift:* 1st Shift (7:30pm - 4:00pm) * Responsibilities and Duties:**

  • Responsible for completing in-depth analysis on AR denials and claim submission.
  • Contact insurances to verify eligibility.
  • Follow-up with to resolve outstanding accounts receivable balances.
  • Draft appeals for denied claims.
  • Must have strong knowledge of Commercial insurance policies, procedures, rules and regulations, including Appeals, Reviews and ICD -10 and CPT coding.
  • Communicates any problems and concerns to supervisor that may lead to inaccurate or untimely completion of reimbursement processing.

Requirements and Education:

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively any problems and concerns to supervisor that may lead to inaccurate or untimely completion of reimbursement processing.
  • Well-developed organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to exercise judgment, tact and diplomacy.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Must be able to use Outlook.
  • Must have a working knowledge of current home medical equipment products, services and payor source guidelines.
