Anticipated initial assignment is Godfrey Learning Center, Burt, NY. The individual shall provide services to students in a 6:1:1 classroom setting for high school age students taking the NYS Alternative Assessment. The individual must have knowledge regarding or experience with students with significant emotional and behavioral disabilities, including cognitive delays. Strong behavior management and leadership skills, and the ability to modify curriculum to meet students' needs, are required. The individual must be a team player and work collaboratively with support staff. The candidate should have experience with behavioral management strategies and the ability to supervise support staff. Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training is preferred. The individual must have or be eligible for appropriate teaching certification upon hire. Regular attendance and dependability are required. Other responsibilities may be assigned. Assignment is subject to change.

Salary shall depend on qualifications and experience. For a candidate without permanent or professional teaching certification, the estimated (ten-month basis) annual salary range is $41,500 to $74,000. For a candidate with permanent or professional teaching certification, the estimated (ten-month basis) annual salary range is $46,500 to $94,205.
