Be part of an incredible team at WNYE! The accountant works onsite at our Medina, NY plant in daily accounting functions to keep financial records up to date and accurate. Assists in month-end, quarter-end and year-end processes. WNYE has a proven record of promoting within! Duties may include but are not limited to: Preparation of spreadsheets to track and analyze monthly data, monthly journal entries and financial statements. Provide backup for billing and other accounting functions. Candidate should have a B.S. in Accounting(completed or in process) or related course study (CPA candidate a plus), intermediate knowledge in Excel, understanding of proper internal controls, ability to handle the company's sensitive information in a highly confidential manner, commitment to accuracy and attention to detail, a genuine curiosity and desire to learn about and be a part of the Western New York Energy team, effective and professional communication both internally and externally.
