Shopify Architect - DC Senior Manager

Deloitte Digital offers services that enable client solutions using digital technologies, including the Web, Mobile, Social Networking, Digital Strategy, Digital Content and Digital ERP. The Digital Web team works with clients to advise, design, implement and deploy eCommerce and Portal solutions.

Our eCommerce capabilities provide transactional solutions related to online marketing, sales and service; for both Direct-To-Consumer and Business-to-Business. Our Portal capabilities provide intranet and internet solutions focused on content presentment and transaction capabilities for both internal enterprise as well as customer facing purposes.

Work you'll do

You'll help clients define their requirements by leading and facilitating working sessions to gain an understanding of the client's current state processes and technology in the Shopify space as well as supporting the implementation that follows. We are looking for a Shopify architect who is motivated to evaluate and define architecture, combine the art of design with the art of programming and help junior staff - transitioning seamlessly between platform configuration, and frontend and backend development.

• Acting as a Shopify expert, specializing in all facets of the eCommerce platform

• Collaborating with the UX and UI design teams to produce seamless, robust, and innovative front-end user experiences

• Generating custom-tailored Shopify themes, and altering pre-existing templates

• Working closely with project managers to address client requests

• Managing multiple projects simultaneously, and be able to address their specific needs and requirements at a moment's notice

• Understanding business needs that drive project features & functions and provide internal consultation

We do this by creating content, communications, and experiences that engage and inspire their customers to act. We implement and operate the technology platforms that enable personalized content, commerce and marketing user-centric experiences. In doing so, we transform our clients' marketing and engagement operations into modern, data-driven, creatively focused organizations. Our team brings deep experience in creative and digital marketing capabilities, many from our Digital Studios.

We serve our clients through the following types of work:

• Cross-channel customer engagement strategy, design and development to include the creation of omni-channel digital experiences across web, mobile, social, physical, AR/VR, voice, gesture, IoT, and video

• eCommerce strategy, implementation and operations

• Marketing Content and digital asset management solutions

• Marketing Technology and Advertising Technology solutions

• Marketing analytics implementation and operations

• Advertising campaign ideation, development and execution

• Acquisition and engagement campaign ideation, development and execution

• Agile based, design-thinking, user-centric, empirical projects that accelerate results

Qualifications:

Required

• 5+ years of relevant experience in working with Shopify and Shopify Plus stores

• Experience with system and integration architecture

• Good knowledge of frontend development, liquid programming language, theme customization

• Exp JavaScript (jQuery), XML, JSON, SQL, PHP, CSS3, HTML5

• Experience in handling checkout functionality customizations

• Experience in implementing headless commerce projects with Shopify

• Strong hands to Install & Customize new Shopify theme

• Experience in integrating external APIs - Experience in 3rd party integrations like ERP- NetSuite, SAP, Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, Epicor etc.

• Experience in Implementing Shopify Ajax API, Admin APIs and configuring third party apps

• Knowledge of building custom, private and embedded apps

• Experience working with the following technologies: Good to have experience in ReactJS, NodeJS

• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Preferred

• Certifications are a plus

• Experience working in a professional services firm or working in a client service environment

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Washington, California, Nevada, Colorado, New York, and Jersey City, New Jersey, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top end of the range, but such a decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the range is $167,325 - $278,875.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
