Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Solution Specialist in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You'll Do Provide software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of technology investments, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Provide support for all phases of the software development lifecycle utilizing Software Development Life Cycle methodologies for project implementation including preparation, business blue printing, realization, go-live, and post go-live support. Utilize major software platforms and create custom coding artifacts using various programming languages. Build, deploy, and maintain customized tools or software to modernize legacy application architecture. Evaluate technology needs, develop customized applications, and draft technical and functional design documentation; identify and mitigate risks in process and technology for engagements. Research user reported issues with software applications, identifying root causes and resolutions, implement fixes, and liaise between business functions, end users, and technical delivery teams.

15% Travel required nationally. Telecommuting permitted. Work location includes various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Requirements Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 1 year of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires 1 year of related work experience in each of the following:

  • Performing assessments of existing information systems and identifying gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities utilizing Atlassian Jira and Microsoft (MS) Office;
  • Creating technical and functional specifications including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code through use of Lucidchart and draw.io;
  • Conducting unit testing of web services and web applications leveraging Postman to create, share, test, and document Application Programming Interfaces (APIs);
  • Creating web applications, using APIs, Web services, JavaScript, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), HTML, Nunjucks, Angular, JavaScript Object Notation (JSON), and Extensible Markup Language (XML) to provide service and data to users;
  • Creating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), visualizations of data trends, and data models by employing APIs capable of data analytics, paired with Jira and MS Excel to support business and functional requirements within the Healthcare and Insurance industries;
  • Performing data cleansing and conversions, interface design and development, and systems development using MongoDB and Visual Studio; and
  • Working with a team of developers to produce new components and resolve defects through a standard defect resolution process utilizing Zendesk and Jira in an Agile environment.
