TITLE:Production Welder\ REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor\ \ SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:\ Assemble parts per drawing and perform welding operation within the specified parameters to complete assemblies in a timely manner.\ \ SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\ Perform set-up, operation, and day to day maintenance of MIG welding equipment\ Read linear measuring devices accurately and determine assemblies are to specifications\ Weld around various shaft diameters, flat, vertical fillet and lap joints of 7 Ga. to 5/16 metal.\ Follow welding parameters set by standard specifications to produce quality parts\ Visually inspect welds to determine compliance within specifications\ Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others\ Maintain a clean work area\ Accurately report labor and inspections daily\ SUPERVISION:\ Work under limited supervision, with continuous effort to improve operations, work and/or coordinate with other employees to streamline processes\ \ QUALIFICATIONS:\ Ability to read blueprints/drawings, specification/standards, and follow oral instructions\ Ability to use, read measuring devices and equipment\ AWS certified welder or pass In-house welding tests\ Ability to stand for approximately 8 to 10 hours per day\ Ability to lift 50 lbs. approximately twelve to sixteen times per hour
