Jamie Benway with Robert Half is looking for an ambitious, detail-oriented Staff Accountant for a thriving, fast-paced company that recognizes talent and effort. This Mcminnville, Oregon area-based position is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work. The ideal candidate for this position can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. This position will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. You might be our ideal candidate, if you have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request

  • Assemble journal entries and thorough account reconciliations that include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

  • Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner

  • Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision

  • Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process

  • Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers

  • Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation

  • In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts

  • Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting

  • Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries

  • Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives

  • Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

  • Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience

• Degree in relevant field

• Trainable

• Banking knowledge would be helpful as you will do transfer of funds, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet recons
