Join MITRE’s growing Enterprise Strategy and Transformation Center, where we partner with our federal sector customers to drive successful enterprise transformations within priority mission domains.

An understanding of enterprise operations, digital engineering, design thinking, technology implementation and change management are desired as is a passion to develop and grow our core capabilities in enterprise transition planning and shared services implementation. As an Enterprise Transition Planning (ETP) intermediate engineer, you will support thought leadership and problem solving for our customers.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Support stakeholder discussions focused on shaping the future organizational vision and assist in defining the changes in people, process and technology required to achieve the target state.
Assist with translating the customer mission, vision, goals, and strategies into an organizational construct; develop a Concept of Operations (ConOps) that describes external entities, core capabilities, internal functions, and operational interactions.
Analyze current operations relative to the future state vision and identify the changes required at varying levels of the enterprise architecture, i.e., business capability, application, technology and data, and infrastructure.
Collaborate with government staff to assess and align business capabilities and enabling technologies to the future state business processes, organizational structures, business/mission roles, and technology standards.
Support discussions pertaining to the prioritization and sequence organizational, business process, and technology changes required to achieve the target state; assist with development of a roadmap that defines transition states and the expected outcomes of each.
Develop and maintain enterprise architecture artifacts and packages, including working with enterprise architecture data to generate data-driven answers to the questions being addressed by the enterprise architecture.
Contribute to department capability development by supporting our capability stewards in the areas of knowledge management, research and other efforts that reinforce MITRE's reputation as a thought leader in Enterprise Strategy and Transformation.
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Business Management, Information Technology, Information Systems Management, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security, or related field, or equivalent combination of related work experience.
Demonstrated ability to work with ambiguity and with rapid change where timelines may be compressed.
Proficiency in all forms of communication, e.g., verbal, written, digital and public speaking.
2+ years working with office automation tools, specifically MS Office 365 suite.
Must be a US citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining a US government security clearance.
This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in a related field of study.
Experience in systems analysis and integration, shared services, data modeling, software/system design, requirements analysis, and/or business process redesign.
Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks (Zachman, TOGAF, DoDAF, etc.)

$89,000 - $111,500 - $134,000 Annual
