Description

Join our client's dynamic Global Technology team as a Associate Business Analyst as they shape the future of hospitality technology! From smartphone capabilities like Digital Key to connected rooms with integrated entertainment, temperature, and lighting controls, they are at the forefront of innovation. As an Associate Business Analyst in Property Platform Engineering, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering cutting-edge property capabilities and experiences. The Associate Business Analyst role is located near Jones Branch Dr and West Park Dr in McLean, VA.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product, business, and technology teams to gather and refine requirements for the next-generation Property Management System (PMS) and integration with the Tax Fee Surcharge engine (TFS).

  • Coordinate documentation, analysis, and validation of functional requirements.

  • Work with multiple Technology workstreams to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget.

  • Communicate effectively and participate in cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks.

Key Duties:

  • Capture and refine requirements using agile methodology and tools like Confluence/Jira.

  • Analyze and prioritize new application bugs reported by hotel teams and QA teams.

  • Support product backlog prioritization and management.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across technology, product, and business teams.

  • Assist in special projects as needed.

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

  • Three years of professional work experience in Technology or related field.

  • Two years of Hotel experience, preferably in Front Office/Hotel Operations.

  • Knowledge of Property Management systems.

  • Ability to travel up to 20% as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree with 2 years of Technology-related experience, or High School Degree/GED with 4 years of Technology-related experience.

  • Four years of professional work experience in Technology or related field.

  • Three years of Hotel experience, preferably in Front Office/Hotel Operations.

  • Two years of experience as a Business Analyst.

  • Knowledge of tax fee calculation rules for hospitality in US domestic and international markets.

  • Familiarity with Agile Methodology and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
