Job Summary and Qualifications

*Hours are Fri/Sat/Sun nights 7p-7a with rotating call and holidays*

Receives, initiates, and implements orders for ultrasound sonography exams / procedures using a high degree of quality and timeliness. Performs superior, quality ultrasound scans for all ages under the guidance of a Radiologist. Participates in departmental performance improvement activities, staff meetings, current on all licensures and assigned courses in Healthstream. Other duties as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Knowledge of high-level disinfection and care of equipment and probes. Knowledge of sterile field, informed consent, time out procedure, specimen handling and pre and post procedure protocols. All exams performed per protocol.

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

  • Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) is required

  • Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or Ultrasonographer, or Associate Degree, or Vocational School Graduate
