SRS Distribution Inc. Senior Project Manager, Human Resources in McKinney, Texas

Job Summary

Reporting to the Head of HR Operations, the Senior Project Manager for Human Resources will be responsible for leading cross-functional HR projects, owning and maintaining the HR project portfolio, and optimizing the department’s project management standards and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee successful implementation of HR initiatives through the project lifecycle by collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing project timelines and documentation, and leading change management efforts, including the development of related communications plans.

  • Partner with HR COEs (Centers of Excellence) to manage day-to-day enterprise HR project portfolio activities and establish working plans and resource allocation.

  • Facilitate and coordinate cross-functional project efforts between HR, business, finance, IT and vendor resources, including providing high-level support for acquisition and HR technology initiatives.

  • Ensure the timely completion of projects by proactively communicating regarding the progression of projects, task tracking, budget/cost management, and planning change management activities.

  • Use metrics and data visualization effectively to report project and portfolio performance and facilitate project reviews and checkpoint meetings.

  • Establish simple practices, digital tools, and templates for HR portfolio and project management.

    Education & Experience

  • Master’s degree in human resources or related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience in Human Resources or bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience.

  • Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) Certification and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification highly preferred.

  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management tools supporting the organizations’ defined Project Management methodology.

  • Experience managing multiple large, complex, and cross-functional projects, with emphasis on program delivery, business process implementation, and HRIS.

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, influence decision makers, and build relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to organize and present information concisely to senior leaders.

  • Experience using digital tools such as Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), Smartsheets, and Jira.

  • Project leadership and ability to align team members to execute effectively. Ability to lead teams in-person or in a virtual environment.

  • Available to travel as needed.
